In the Dark Recap

Do you like murder mysteries, ugly cars, and a hot motorcycle boyfriend? If only these hooves could wrap around that sturdy waist!

As the title suggests, this is a dark story of solving gruesome murders, overcoming psychological trauma, and meeting a handsome mysterious artist along the way. This story centers around detective Xie Lanshan as he recovers from a deep undercover assignment involving a ruthless drug group. As he learns to break through the roadblocks of his own mind, he develops a deepening relationship with the new forensic sketch artist.

Who or what is hiding in this darkness? This isn't your mom's original Law & Order binge, there are some pretty heavy subjects! From family loss, non-consensual sexual themes, descriptions of methodical killing, thoughts of self-harm, and an unconventional same sex relationship—In the Dark explores a lot of dark themes. Often times it isn’t an overly graphic description, but it’s still good to be aware of it! And every once in a while, there was a description that was shearly terrifying.

I will mention, I was a big fan of a certain artist. Won’t ewe paint me like one of those french girls? (⁄ ⁄◕⁄‿⁄◕⁄ ⁄✿)
