Blossom’s Blog Vol. One

Hey hey everyone, Blossom here with a synopsis and run down of Vulpecula’s Love Letter: Farewell at the Galaxy.

As you wool probably guess from the title, there’s a parting of ways at some point in the book. But who parts? And where? And why? You’ll have to check it out if you want to learn more.

Fox Xin and Nie Zheng get off to a rocky start; they banter constantly and come from very different experiences. One is an alien, after all! Watching their relationship evolve and how it affects others around them was a sweet experience until they start to face challenges surrounding their relationship. Will “The Queen” interfere? Can humans and aliens be together? What will their families think?

I also want to mention there is a secondary pairing that is fairly doomed from the start. It seems that humans tend to complicate everything--but then again, ewe probably already knew that. (◡‿◡✿)

Reading this story made me think about the difference in perspective about what is the greater love: familial love or romantic love? Being as I’m a single sheep on my farm and I’m a bit of a romantic, I lean toward the latter. But can I say that those who lean toward the former are wrong? I think it depends on, like many things in life, the situation and circumstance.

The story made me think about putting my best hoof forward. About how my love could hurt one person but heal another. Lots to think about!

One thing I’ll mention is that the story has a traditional view of gender, which I know can be upsetting to some people. If that’s not your cup of tea, that’s okay! There wool shearly be another book we publish that you’ll enjoy.

If you want a star-crossed lover’s tail with a bit of a sci-fi/magical twist, you might want Vulpecula to wind up in your pasture!
